[521] "Success" (iddhi): that which is the success of those phenomena (dhammā), the thorough success, the succeeding, the thorough succeeding, the gain, the obtainment, the attainment, the full attainment, the contacting, the realization, the entering upon. "Basis of success" (iddhipāda): the contact (phassa) … exertion, non-distraction of one who is thus. "He develops the basis of success": he cultivates, develops, and makes much of those phenomena; therefore it is said, "he develops the basis of success."
