[1448] [Paravādin:] Is it not to be said that the latent tendencies (anusaya) are dissociated (vippayutta) from mind (citta)?
[Sakavādin:] Yes.
[Paravādin:] While a mind that is wholesome (kusala) or indeterminate (abyākata) is occurring, is an ordinary person (puthujjana) to be said to be "one with latent tendencies" (sānusaya)?
[Sakavādin:] Yes.
[Paravādin:] Are the latent tendencies associated (sampayutta) with that mind?
[Sakavādin:] It should not be said thus.
[Paravādin:] Then indeed the latent tendencies are dissociated from mind.
[Sakavādin:] While a mind that is wholesome or indeterminate is occurring, is an ordinary person to be said to be "one with lust" (sarāga)?
[Paravādin:] Yes.
[Sakavādin:] Is lust (rāga) associated with that mind?
[Paravādin:] It should not be said thus.
[Sakavādin:] Then indeed lust is dissociated from mind.
