[1711] S.: Is it not to be said that the Saṅgha accepts an offering (dakkhiṇā)? P.: Yes. S.: But was it not said by the Blessed One: 　　　　"As fire (Jātaveda) receives the oblation, 　　　　as the earth the great rain-cloud, 　　　　so the Saṅgha, endowed with concentration (samādhi), 　　　　accepts the offering" — is there not such a discourse (suttanta)? P.: Yes. S.: Well then, the Saṅgha does accept an offering.
