The questions of the past with the present — in the section on arising (uppādavāra) and also in the section on arising and cessation (uppādanirodhavāra), whether as "for whom" (yassa), as "where" (yattha), or as "for whom and where" (yassa-yattha), both in the positive (anuloma) and in the negative (paccanīya) — are similar. They should be analyzed by one who is unconfused.
