[1224] In whom the latent tendency of conceit (mānānusaya) lies latent, does the latent tendency of views (diṭṭhānusaya) … does the latent tendency of doubt (vicikicchānusaya) lie latent in him?
In three persons the latent tendency of conceit lies latent, but the latent tendency of doubt does not lie latent in them; in the ordinary person (puthujjana) both the latent tendency of conceit lies latent and the latent tendency of doubt lies latent.
Or rather, in whom the latent tendency of doubt lies latent, does the latent tendency of conceit lie latent in him?
Yes.
