[1328] One who is without the latent tendency (anusaya) to sensual lust (kāmarāgānusaya), the latent tendency to repulsion (paṭighānusaya), and the latent tendency to conceit (mānānusaya) — is he without the latent tendency to views (diṭṭhānusaya) … the latent tendency to doubt (vicikicchānusaya)?

Or rather, one who is without the latent tendency to doubt — is he without the latent tendency to sensual lust, the latent tendency to repulsion, and the latent tendency to conceit?
Two persons are without the latent tendency to doubt, but they are not without the latent tendency to sensual lust, the latent tendency to repulsion, and the latent tendency to conceit. The non-returner (anāgāmī) is without the latent tendency to doubt, the latent tendency to sensual lust, and the latent tendency to repulsion, but he is not without the latent tendency to conceit. The Arahant is without the latent tendency to doubt, and he is without the latent tendency to sensual lust, the latent tendency to repulsion, and the latent tendency to conceit.
One who is without the latent tendency to sensual lust, the latent tendency to repulsion, and the latent tendency to conceit — is he without the latent tendency to lust for existence (bhavarāgānusaya) … the latent tendency to ignorance (avijjānusaya)?
