[1430] Whoever fully understands (parijānāti) the latent tendency (anusaya) of sensual lust (kāmarāgānusaya), the latent tendency of repulsion (paṭighānusaya), the latent tendency of conceit (mānānusaya), the latent tendency of view (diṭṭhānusaya), the latent tendency of doubt (vicikicchānusaya), and the latent tendency of lust for existence (bhavarāgānusaya) — does that one fully understand the latent tendency of ignorance (avijjānusaya)?
There is none.
Or rather, whoever fully understands the latent tendency of ignorance — does that one fully understand the latent tendency of sensual lust, the latent tendency of repulsion, the latent tendency of conceit, the latent tendency of view, the latent tendency of doubt, and the latent tendency of lust for existence?
He fully understands the latent tendency of conceit and the latent tendency of lust for existence.
