Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the latent tendency of ignorance is unabandoned, is the latent tendency of lust for existence unabandoned for that person there?
In the case of four persons, in the sense-sphere element (kāmadhātu), in the three feelings (vedanā), the latent tendency of ignorance is unabandoned for them there, but the latent tendency of lust for existence is not to be said to be either abandoned or unabandoned; in the case of those same persons, in the form element (rūpadhātu) and in the formless element (arūpadhātu), both the latent tendency of ignorance is unabandoned for them there and the latent tendency of lust for existence is unabandoned.
