Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 321

[321] "For whomever the eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) does not arise, does the form sense base (rūpāyatana) not arise for that one?" For those without eye but with form who are being reborn, the eye sense base does not arise for them, yet it is not the case that the form sense base does not arise for them. For all who are passing away, and for those without form who are being reborn, for them both the eye sense base does not arise and the form sense base does not arise. "Or rather, for whomever the form sense base does not arise, does the eye sense base not arise for that one?" Yes.
