Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 322

[322] For whom the eye base (cakkhāyatana) does not arise, does the mind base (manāyatana) not arise for that one? For those without eye but possessing mind (sacittaka) who are being reborn, the eye base does not arise for them, yet it is not the case that the mind base does not arise for them. For all who are passing away, and for those without mind (acittaka) who are being reborn, for them both the eye base does not arise and the mind base does not arise. Or rather, for whom the mind base does not arise, does the eye base not arise for that one? Yes (āmantā).
