[489] "For whom the eye base (cakkhāyatana) has arisen, will the form base (rūpāyatana) arise for that one?"
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) and for those who, having been reborn in the formless [realm] (arūpa), will attain final Nibbāna, the eye base has arisen, but the form base will not arise for them. For the others, both the eye base has arisen for them and the form base will arise.
"Or rather, for whom the form base will arise, has the eye base arisen for that one?"
