[502] For whomever, wherever, the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) arose, will the mind sense base (manāyatana) … the dhamma sense base (dhammāyatana) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the nose sense base arose for them there, but the dhamma sense base will not arise for them there; for the other beings of the sense sphere, both the nose sense base arose for them there and the dhamma sense base will arise.
Or alternatively: for whomever, wherever, the dhamma sense base will arise, did the nose sense base arise for that one there?
For those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the dhamma sense base will arise for them there, but the nose sense base did not arise for them there; for those of the sense sphere, both the dhamma sense base will arise for them there and the nose sense base arose.
