Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 642

[642] For whomever in whatever place the eye base (cakkhāyatana) does not cease, will the ear base (sotāyatana) not cease for that one in that place? For those being reborn into the five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra) and for those without eyes passing away from the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for them in that place the eye base does not cease, but it is not the case that for them in that place the ear base will not cease. For non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) and for formless beings (arūpa), for them in that place both the eye base does not cease and the ear base will not cease. Or else, for whomever in whatever place the ear base will not cease, does the eye base not cease for that one in that place? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for them in that place the ear base will not cease, but it is not the case that for them in that place the eye base does not cease. For non-percipient beings and for formless beings, for them in that place both the ear base will not cease and the eye base does not cease.
