Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 643

[643] For whomever in whatever plane the eye base (cakkhāyatana) does not cease, will the nose base (ghānāyatana) not cease for that one in that plane? For those being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara) and for those without the eye passing away from the sense sphere, for them in that plane the eye base does not cease, yet it is not the case that for them in that plane the nose base will not cease. For those being reborn into the form sphere (rūpāvacara), for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), and for formless beings (arūpa), for them in that plane the eye base does not cease and the nose base will not cease. Or else, for whomever in whatever plane the nose base will not cease, does the eye base not cease for that one in that plane? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense sphere and for those passing away from the form sphere, for them in that plane the nose base will not cease, yet it is not the case that for them in that plane the eye base does not cease. For those being reborn into the form sphere, for non-percipient beings, and for formless beings, for them in that plane the nose base will not cease and the eye base does not cease.
