[686] For whomever in whatever place the mind base (manāyatana) has not ceased, will the phenomena base (dhammāyatana) not cease for that one in that place?
For those being reborn into the pure abodes (suddhāvāsa) and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), the mind base has not ceased for them there, yet it is not the case that the phenomena base will not cease for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna (parinibbāna) in the pure abodes, the mind base has not ceased for them there and the phenomena base will not cease.
Or: for whomever in whatever place the phenomena base will not cease, has the mind base not ceased for that one in that place?
For those attaining final Nibbāna, the phenomena base will not cease for them there, yet it is not the case that the mind base has not ceased for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the pure abodes, the phenomena base will not cease for them there and the mind base has not ceased.
The Cessation Section (nirodhavāra) is finished.
