[613] For whomever, wherever, the mind base (manāyatana) does not cease, has the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) never ceased for that one there?
For all who are being reborn, and for the mindless (acittaka) beings who are passing away, the mind base does not cease for them there, but it is not the case that the dhamma base has never ceased for them there. For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), the mind base does not cease for them there, and the dhamma base has never ceased.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma base has never ceased, does the mind base not cease for that one there?
For those attaining final Nibbāna (parinibbāna) in the Pure Abodes, the dhamma base has never ceased for them there, but it is not the case that the mind base does not cease for them there. For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes, the dhamma base has never ceased for them there, and the mind base does not cease.
