Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 598

[598] For whomever and wherever the mind base (manāyatana) ceases, did the phenomena base (dhammāyatana) cease for that one there? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), the mind base ceases for them there, but the phenomena base did not cease for them there. For the others with mind (sacittaka) who are passing away, both the mind base ceases for them there and the phenomena base did cease. Or, for whomever and wherever the phenomena base did cease, does the mind base cease for that one there? For all who are being reborn and for those without mind (acittaka) who are passing away, the phenomena base did cease for them there, but the mind base does not cease for them there. For those with mind who are passing away, both the phenomena base did cease for them there and the mind base ceases.
