[586] "For whomever the mind base (manāyatana) ceases, has the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) ceased for that one?" "Yes." "Or rather, for whomever the dhamma base has ceased, does the mind base cease for that one?" "For all who are being reborn and for the mindless (acittaka) who are passing away, the dhamma base has ceased for them, but the mind base does not cease for them. For those possessing mind (sacittaka) who are passing away, both the dhamma base has ceased for them and the mind base ceases."
