[585] For whomever the form base (rūpāyatana) ceases, has the mind base (manāyatana) … the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) ceased for him?
Yes.
Or rather, for whomever the dhamma base has ceased, does the form base cease for him?
For all who are being reborn and for formless beings who are passing away, the dhamma base has ceased for them, but the form base does not cease for them; for beings possessing form who are passing away, both the dhamma base has ceased for them and the form base ceases.
