[526] For whomever the nose base (ghānāyatana) ceases, does the form base (rūpāyatana) cease for that one? Yes. Or rather, for whomever the form base ceases, does the nose base cease for that one? For those possessed of form (sarūpaka) but without nose (aghānaka) who are passing away, the form base ceases for them, but the nose base does not cease for them; for those possessed of nose (saghānaka) who are passing away, for them both the form base ceases and the nose base ceases.
