[593] For whomever, wherever, the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) ceases, has the form sense base (rūpāyatana) ceased for that one there? Yes. Or, for whomever, wherever, the form sense base has ceased, does the nose sense base cease for that one there? For those arising in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for those without nose who are passing away from the sense sphere, and for those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) — for them, there, the form sense base has ceased, but the nose sense base does not cease for them there. For those with nose who are passing away — for them, there, both the form sense base has ceased and the nose sense base ceases.
