Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 608

[608] For whomever, wherever, the nose base (ghānāyatana) does not cease, has the form base (rūpāyatana) never ceased for that one there? For those being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for the noseless (aghānaka) passing away from the sense sphere, and for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara): for them there the nose base does not cease, but it is not the case that for them there the form base has never ceased. For those of the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) and for the formless (arūpa): for them there the nose base does not cease, and the form base has never ceased. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the form base has never ceased, does the nose base not cease for that one there? Yes.
