Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 647

[647] For whomever, wherever, the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) does not cease, will the form sense base (rūpāyatana) not cease for that one there? For those being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for those without a nose (aghānaka) who are passing away from the sense sphere, and for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara): for them, there, the nose sense base does not cease, but it is not the case that, for them, there, the form sense base will not cease. For those attaining final Nibbāna (parinibbanta) in the form sphere and for formless beings (arūpa): for them, there, the nose sense base does not cease, and the form sense base will not cease. Or else, for whomever, wherever, the form sense base will not cease, does the nose sense base not cease for that one there? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense sphere: for them, there, the form sense base will not cease, but it is not the case that, for them, there, the nose sense base does not cease. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the form sphere and for formless beings: for them, there, the form sense base will not cease, and the nose sense base does not cease.
