Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 681

[681] For whomever, wherever, the nose base (ghānāyatana) has not ceased, will the form base (rūpāyatana) not cease for that one there? For beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), the nose base has not ceased for them there, but it is not the case that the form base will not cease for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the form sphere, and for formless beings (arūpa), the nose base has not ceased for them there, and the form base will not cease. Or, for whomever, wherever, the form base will not cease, has the nose base not ceased for that one there? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sensual sphere (kāmāvacara), the form base will not cease for them there, but it is not the case that the nose base has not ceased for them there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the form sphere, and for formless beings, the form base will not cease for them there, and the nose base has not ceased.
