[667] For whomever, wherever, the nose base (ghānāyatana) has ceased, will the form base (rūpāyatana) cease for that one there?
For those attaining final Nibbāna (parinibbanta) in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the nose base has ceased for them there, but the form base will not cease for them there. For the others of the sense sphere, the nose base has ceased for them there, and the form base will cease.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the form base will cease, has the nose base ceased for that one there?
For those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), the form base will cease for them there, but the nose base has not ceased for them there. For those of the sense sphere, the form base will cease for them there, and the nose base has ceased.
