[721] For whomever in whatever place the nose base (ghānāyatana) will arise, will the form base (rūpāyatana) cease for that one in that place?
Yes.
Or else, for whomever in whatever place the form base will cease, will the nose base arise for that one in that place?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), and for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara): for them in that place the form base will cease, but the nose base will not arise for them in that place. For the other sense-sphere beings: for them in that place both the form base will cease and the nose base will arise.
