[741] For whomever, wherever, the nose base (ghānāyatana) will not arise, will the mind base (manāyatana) not cease for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), and for those of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): for them there, the nose base will not arise, but it is not the case that for them there, the mind base will not cease. For those who are attaining final Nibbāna (parinibbanta) and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for them there, both the nose base will not arise and the mind base will not cease.
Or for whomever, wherever, the mind base … ?
