[406] For whomever, wherever, the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) will not arise: will the mind sense base (manāyatana) not arise for that one there?
For those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and those of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the nose sense base will not arise for them there; but it is not the case that the mind sense base will not arise for them there. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), for them there both the nose sense base will not arise and the mind sense base will not arise.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the mind sense base will not arise: will the nose sense base not arise for that one there?
