Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 515

[515] For whomever, wherever, the nose sense-base (ghānāyatana) has never arisen, will the form sense-base (rūpāyatana) not arise for that one there? For beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), the nose sense-base has never arisen for them there, but it is not the case that the form sense-base will not arise for them there. For beings in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the form sphere and for formless beings (arūpa), both the nose sense-base has never arisen for them there and the form sense-base will not arise. Or, conversely, for whomever, wherever, the form sense-base will not arise, has the nose sense-base never arisen for that one there? For beings in their final existence in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the form sense-base will not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the nose sense-base has never arisen for them there. For beings in their final existence in the form sphere and for formless beings, both the form sense-base will not arise for them there and the nose sense-base has never arisen.
