[514] For whomever in whatever plane the eye base (cakkhāyatana) has never arisen, will the mind-object base (dhammāyatana) not arise for that one in that plane?
For non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) and formless beings (arūpa): for them in that plane the eye base has never arisen, but it is not the case that for them in that plane the mind-object base will not arise. For beings of the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) and for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the formless plane: for them in that plane both the eye base has never arisen and the mind-object base will not arise.
Or, for whomever in whatever plane the mind-object base will not arise, has the eye base never arisen for that one in that plane?
For those in their final existence in the five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra): for them in that plane the mind-object base will not arise, but it is not the case that for them in that plane the eye base has never arisen. For beings of the Pure Abodes and for those in their final existence in the formless plane: for them in that plane both the mind-object base will not arise and the eye base has never arisen.
