[363] For whomever, wherever, the eye base (cakkhāyatana) never arose, did the form base (rūpāyatana) never arise for that one there? For the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), the eye base never arose for them there, but it is not the case that the form base never arose for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) and the formless beings (arūpa), the eye base never arose for them there and the form base never arose. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the form base never arose, did the eye base never arise for that one there? Yes.
