As for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara): for them in that place the nose base has never arisen, but it is not the case that for them in that place the form base has never arisen. As for beings of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa) and formless beings (arūpa): for them in that place both the nose base has never arisen and the form base has never arisen.
Or rather, for whomever in whatever place the form base has never arisen, has the nose base never arisen for that one in that place?
