Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 367

[367] For whomever, wherever, the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) has never arisen, has the mind sense base (manāyatana) never arisen for that one there? For those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and those of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the nose sense base has never arisen for them there, but it is not the case that the mind sense base has never arisen for them there. For those of the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) and the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), both the nose sense base has never arisen for them there and the mind sense base has never arisen for them there. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the mind sense base has never arisen, has the nose sense base never arisen for that one there? Yes.
