[722] For whomever in whatever place the nose base (ghānāyatana) will arise, will the mind base (manāyatana) … the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) cease for that one in that place?
Yes (āmantā).
Or else, for whomever in whatever place the dhamma base will cease, will the nose base arise for that one in that place?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), and for those of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara) — for them in that place the dhamma base will cease, but the nose base will not arise for them in that place. For the other beings of the sense sphere — for them in that place both the dhamma base will cease and the nose base will arise.
