[723] For whomever, wherever, the form base (rūpāyatana) will arise, will the mind base (manāyatana) cease for that one there?
As for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā): the form base will arise for them there, but the mind base will not cease for them there. As for beings of the five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra): both the form base will arise and the mind base will cease for them there.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the mind base will cease, will the form base arise for that one there?
As for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the five-constituent existence, and for formless beings (arūpa): the mind base will cease for them there, but the form base will not arise for them there. As for the other beings of the five-constituent existence: both the mind base will cease and the form base will arise for them there.
