[666] For whomever, wherever, the eye sense base (cakkhāyatana) ceased, will the dhamma sense base (dhammāyatana) cease for that one there?
For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent plane (pañcavokāra), the eye sense base ceased for them there, but the dhamma sense base will not cease for them there. For the others of the five-constituent plane, the eye sense base ceased for them there, and the dhamma sense base will cease.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma sense base will cease, did the eye sense base cease for that one there?
For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), and for formless beings (arūpa), the dhamma sense base will cease for them there, but the eye sense base did not cease for them there. For the others of the five-constituent plane, the dhamma sense base will cease for them there, and the eye sense base ceased.
