[607] For whomever in whatever place the eye base (cakkhāyatana) does not cease, did the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) not cease for that one in that place?
For all who are being reborn and for the eyeless who are passing away, the eye base does not cease for them in that place, but it is not the case that the dhamma base did not cease for them in that place. For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), the eye base does not cease for them in that place, and the dhamma base did not cease.
Or rather, for whomever in whatever place the dhamma base did not cease, does the eye base not cease for that one in that place?
For those attaining final Nibbāna in the Pure Abodes, the dhamma base did not cease for them in that place, but it is not the case that the eye base does not cease for them in that place. For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes, the dhamma base did not cease for them in that place, and the eye base does not cease.
