[629] For whomever, wherever, the nose base (ghānāyatana) ceases, will the mind base (manāyatana) … the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) cease for that one there?
For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the nose base ceases for them there, but the dhamma base will not cease for them there. For the others, possessing a nose, who are passing away, the nose base ceases for them there and the dhamma base will cease.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma base … ?
