[597] For whomever, wherever, the form base (rūpāyatana) ceases, had the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) ceased for that one there?
For those attaining final Nibbāna in the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), the form base ceases for them there, but the dhamma base had not ceased for them there. For the others—those possessing form who are passing away—for them there both the form base ceases and the dhamma base had ceased.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the dhamma base had ceased, does the form base cease for that one there?
For all who are being reborn, and for those without form who are passing away, the dhamma base had ceased for them there, but the form base does not cease for them there. For those possessing form who are passing away, for them there both the dhamma base had ceased and the form base ceases.
