[764] For whomever, wherever, the form base (rūpāyatana) arises, will the mind base (manāyatana) cease for that one there?
For those being reborn among the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), the form base arises for them there, but it is not the case that the mind base will cease for them there. For those being reborn into the five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), the form base arises for them there and the mind base will cease.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the mind base will cease, does the form base arise for that one there?
For those passing away from the five-constituent existence and for the formless beings (arūpā), the mind base will cease for them there, but it is not the case that the form base arises for them there. For those being reborn into the five-constituent existence, the mind base will cease for them there and the form base arises.
