[886] For whomever the truth of origin (samudayasacca) does not arise, has the truth of the path (maggasacca) not arisen for him?
For those who have not comprehended [the truths] (anabhisametāvī), at the moment of the dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of craving (taṇhā), while a mind (citta) dissociated from craving is occurring, and for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna): for them the truth of origin does not arise, but it is not the case that the truth of the path has not arisen for them. For those who have not comprehended [the truths], at the moment of the dissolution of craving, while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for them the truth of origin does not arise and the truth of the path has not arisen.
Or rather, for whomever the truth of the path has not arisen, does the truth of origin not arise for him?
For those who have not comprehended [the truths], at the moment of the arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of craving: for them the truth of the path has not arisen, but it is not the case that the truth of origin does not arise for them. For those who have not comprehended [the truths], at the moment of the dissolution of craving, while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, and for non-percipient beings: for them the truth of the path has not arisen and the truth of origin does not arise.
