[918] For whomever, wherever, the truth of origin (samudayasacca) has never arisen — will the truth of the path (maggasacca) not arise for that one there?
For beings of the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) while the second mind (citta) is occurring: the truth of origin has never arisen for them there, yet it is not the case that the truth of the path will not arise for them there. For non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): for them there both the truth of origin has never arisen and the truth of the path will not arise.
Or alternatively: for whomever, wherever, the truth of the path will not arise — has the truth of origin never arisen for that one there?
For those endowed with the highest path (aggamagga), for Arahants, and for those worldlings (puthujjana) who will not obtain the path, and for beings in the states of woe (āpāyika): the truth of the path will not arise for them there, yet it is not the case that the truth of origin has never arisen for them there. For non-percipient beings: for them there both the truth of the path will not arise and the truth of origin has never arisen.
