[890] "For whomever, wherever, the truth of origin (samudaya-sacca) does not arise, has the truth of the path (magga-sacca) not arisen for that one there?" — For those who have attained realization (abhisametāvī), at the moment of the dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of craving (taṇhā) [or] while a mind (citta) dissociated from craving is occurring, the truth of origin does not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the truth of the path has not arisen for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) while the second mind is occurring, for those who have not attained realization at the moment of the dissolution of craving [or] while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), for them there the truth of origin does not arise and the truth of the path has not arisen.
"Or conversely: for whomever, wherever, the truth of the path has not arisen, does the truth of origin not arise for that one there?" — For those who have not attained realization, at the moment of the arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of craving, the truth of the path has not arisen for them there, but it is not the case that the truth of origin does not arise for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes while the second mind is occurring, for those who have not attained realization at the moment of the dissolution of craving [or] while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, and for non-percipient beings, for them there the truth of the path has not arisen and the truth of origin does not arise.
