[848] For whomever, in whatever place, the truth of origin (samudaya-sacca) does not arise, does the truth of the path (magga-sacca) not arise for that one in that place?
At the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the path, for them in that place the truth of origin does not arise, yet it is not the case that for them in that place the truth of the path does not arise. For all at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the mind (citta), at the moment of arising of a mind dissociated from craving (taṇhā) and dissociated from the path, for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for them in that place the truth of origin does not arise and the truth of the path does not arise.
Or rather, for whomever, in whatever place, the truth of the path does not arise, does the truth of origin not arise for that one in that place?
At the moment of arising of craving, for them in that place the truth of the path does not arise, yet it is not the case that for them in that place the truth of origin does not arise. For all at the moment of dissolution of the mind, at the moment of arising of a mind dissociated from the path and dissociated from craving, for those who have attained cessation, and for non-percipient beings — for them in that place the truth of the path does not arise and the truth of origin does not arise.
