[965] For whom the truth of origin (samudayasacca) does not cease, will the truth of the path (maggasacca) not cease for that one?
For one at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the highest path (aggamagga); for one at the moment of arising of the mind (citta) immediately after which he will obtain the highest path; and for those others who will obtain the path — at the moment of arising of craving (taṇhā), while a mind dissociated from craving (taṇhā-vippayutta-citta) is occurring, for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for these the truth of origin does not cease, but it is not the case that for these the truth of the path will not cease. For one at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the highest path, for Arahants, and for those worldlings (puthujjana) who will not obtain the path — at the moment of arising of craving, while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, for those who have attained cessation, and for non-percipient beings — for these the truth of origin does not cease, and the truth of the path will not cease.
Or else, for whom the truth of the path will not cease, does the truth of origin not cease for that one?
For those worldlings who will not obtain the path, at the moment of dissolution of craving: for these the truth of the path will not cease, but it is not the case that for these the truth of origin does not cease. For one at the moment of dissolution of the highest path, for Arahants, and for those worldlings who will not obtain the path — at the moment of arising of craving, while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, for those who have attained cessation, and for non-percipient beings — for these the truth of the path will not cease, and the truth of origin does not cease.
