[1011] For whomever the truth of origin (samudayasacca) does not arise, will the truth of the path (maggasacca) not cease for that one?
At the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the highest path (aggamagga); at the moment of arising of the mind (citta) immediately after which they will obtain the highest path; and for those others who will obtain the path, at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of craving (taṇhā), while a mind dissociated from craving (taṇhāvippayutta) is occurring, for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for these the truth of origin does not arise, but it is not the case that the truth of the path will not cease for them. At the moment of dissolution of the highest path, for Arahants, and for those ordinary persons (puthujjana) who will not obtain the path, at the moment of dissolution of craving, while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, for those who have attained cessation, for non-percipient beings — for these the truth of origin does not arise and the truth of the path will not cease.
Or, for whomever the truth of the path will not cease, does the truth of origin not arise for that one?
For those ordinary persons who will not obtain the path, at the moment of arising of craving — for these the truth of the path will not cease, but it is not the case that the truth of origin does not arise for them. At the moment of dissolution of the highest path, for Arahants, and for those ordinary persons who will not obtain the path, at the moment of dissolution of craving, while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring, for those who have attained cessation, for non-percipient beings — for these the truth of the path will not cease and the truth of origin does not arise.
