[898] For whomever the truth of suffering (dukkhasacca) does not arise, will the truth of origin (samudayasacca) not arise for that one?
For all who are passing away; in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of the dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of mind (citta); [and] in the formless [plane] (arūpa), at the moment of the arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of path and of fruition — for these the truth of suffering does not arise, but it is not the case that the truth of origin will not arise for them. At the moment of the dissolution of the highest path (aggamagga); for Arahants, at the moment of the dissolution of mind; for those who will attain the highest path in immediate succession to a certain mind, at the moment of the dissolution of that mind; [and] in the formless [plane], at the moment of the arising of path and of fruition — for these the truth of suffering does not arise, and the truth of origin will not arise.
Or rather, for whomever the truth of origin will not arise, does the truth of suffering not arise for that one?
At the moment of the arising of the highest path; for Arahants, at the moment of the arising of mind; for those who will attain the highest path in immediate succession to a certain mind, at the moment of the arising of that mind — for these the truth of origin will not arise, but it is not the case that the truth of suffering does not arise for them. At the moment of the dissolution of the highest path; for Arahants, at the moment of the dissolution of mind; for those who will attain the highest path in immediate succession to a certain mind, at the moment of the dissolution of that mind; [and] in the formless [plane], at the moment of the arising of path and of fruition — for these the truth of origin will not arise, and the truth of suffering does not arise.
