[900] For whomever the truth of origin (samudaya-sacca) does not arise, will the truth of the path (magga-sacca) not arise for that one?
For those who will obtain the supreme path (aggamagga) in immediate succession to a given mind (citta), at the moment of the arising of that mind; and for those others who will obtain the path, at the moment of the dissolution of their craving (taṇhā), while a mind dissociated from craving (taṇhāvippayutta-citta) is occurring; for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna); for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — for these the truth of origin does not arise, but it is not the case that the truth of the path will not arise for them. For those possessed of the supreme path (aggamagga-samaṅgī), for Arahants, and for those worldlings (puthujjana) who will not obtain the path, at the moment of the dissolution of their craving, while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring; for those who have attained cessation; for non-percipient beings — for these the truth of origin does not arise, and the truth of the path will not arise.
Or else, for whomever the truth of the path will not arise, does the truth of origin not arise for that one?
For those worldlings who will not obtain the path, at the moment of the arising of their craving — for these the truth of the path will not arise, but it is not the case that the truth of origin does not arise for them. For those possessed of the supreme path, for Arahants, and for those worldlings who will not obtain the path, at the moment of the dissolution of their craving, while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring; for those who have attained cessation; for non-percipient beings — for these the truth of the path will not arise, and the truth of origin does not arise.
