[969] For whomever, wherever, the truth of origin (samudayasacca) does not cease, will the truth of the path (maggasacca) not cease for that one there?
At the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of the supreme path (aggamagga); at the moment of arising of that mind (citta) immediately after which they will obtain the supreme path; and, for those others who will obtain the path, at the moment of arising of their craving (taṇhā) or while a mind dissociated from craving (taṇhāvippayutta) is occurring — for them, there, the truth of origin does not cease, yet it is not the case that the truth of the path will not cease for them there. At the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of the supreme path; for Arahants; for those ordinary persons (puthujjana) who will not obtain the path, at the moment of arising of their craving or while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring; and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for them, there, the truth of origin does not cease, and the truth of the path will not cease.
Or, alternatively: for whomever, wherever, the truth of the path will not cease, does the truth of origin not cease for that one there?
For beings in the states of woe (āpāyikā) and for those ordinary persons who will not obtain the path, at the moment of dissolution of their craving — for them, there, the truth of the path will not cease, yet it is not the case that the truth of origin does not cease for them there. At the moment of dissolution of the supreme path; for Arahants; for those ordinary persons who will not obtain the path, at the moment of arising of their craving or while a mind dissociated from craving is occurring; and for non-percipient beings — for them, there, the truth of the path will not cease, and the truth of origin does not cease.
