[1050] For whomever, wherever, the nose faculty (ghānindriya) arises, did the faith faculty (saddhindriya) … the wisdom faculty (paññindriya), the mind faculty (manindriya) arise for that one there? Yes. Or: for whomever, wherever, the mind faculty arose, does the nose faculty arise for that one there? For those passing away (cavantānaṃ) from the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for those without a nose (aghānaka) being reborn (upapajjantānaṃ) into the sense sphere, for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), and for beings of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): for them the mind faculty arose there, but the nose faculty does not arise for them there. For those with a nose (saghānaka) who are being reborn: for them there both the mind faculty arose and the nose faculty arises.
